How to reach Bento Gonçalves

Bento Gonçalves (nicknamed Bento) is a city with an estimated population of 115 thousand inhabitants. It is in the Rio Grande do Sul state in southern Brazil and is known as the ‘wine capital of Brazil’ due to its vineyards and wine production.

Bento is located near the two most populous cities of the state, the capital Porto Alegre, located 122km from Bento, and Caxias do Sul city, located only 44km from Bento. Both cities have airports and land transportation that allows the participants easily to arrive in Bento.

Participants coming by plane must land in Porto Alegre or Caxias to arrive in Bento by bus or car. The Salgado Filho International Airport, in Porto Alegre, offers a greater amount of flight schedules from several destinations. On the other hand, the Hugo Cantergiani Regional Airport, in Caxias do Sul, offers a smaller number of flights from a limited number of destinations.
