Antisystemic  Movements in the Current World System

The research project has as objective to analyze the international antisystemic reality from the discovery of the decline of the US hegemony (WALLERSTEIN, 1994; ARRIGHI, 1996) in the scope of geopolitics, economy and culture. It will examine the role of countries such as China and Russia or organizations such as the BRICS, which have military and/or economic capacity to maintain their national interests against the relative (economic and cultural) hostilities of the US, as well as regional movements. The line counts on the theoretical analytical basis of Immanuel Wallerstein (World System), Giovanni Arrighi (Systemic Cycles of Accumulation), Fernand Braudel (Longue Durée) and Antonio Gramsci (Hegemony).
