Academic Agreements

CAFP-CAPES– Universidad de Buenos Aires

In 2009 the Program approved a cooperation project with the Universidad de Buenos Aires through CAFP (Centros Associados de Fortalecimento da Pós-Graduação) of CAPES (Coordenação de Aperfeiçoamento de Pessoal de Nível Superior). Through this agreement the Graduate Program in Social Memory and Cultural Heritage became associated with the graduate program Economía Política de la Cultura: Estudios sobre producciones culturales y patrimônio (Political Economy of Culture: Studies on cultural production and heritage) of the Universidade de Buenos Aires (UBA), a Project focused on studies of representation and management of tangible and intangible cultural heritage with emphasis on the processes of declaration as cultural heritage, as well as legislation and public instruments in the management of heritage and memory.

The agreement involves research trips where Master´s students conduct part of their investigations at the Universidad de Buenos Aires, remaining in that city for a period of two to three months. It also involves the participation of Argentine professors from the Economía Política de la Cultura program in activities in Pelotas through seminars, events, and co-orientation of students participating in the initiative,

Université Nice Sophia Antipolis, France

Agreement with the Laboratoire d’Anthropologie et de Psychologie Cognitives et Sociales of Université Nice Sophia Antipolis (Laboratory of Anthropolgy, Cognitive and Social Psychology) co-directed by anthropologist Joël Candau, in France, and Prof. Maria Leticia Mazzucchi Ferreira in Brazil.

Centro Politécnico de Leiria, Portugal

Agreement with the Centro Politécnico de Leiria (Leiria Polytechnic Center) in initiatives regarding accessibility to cultural resources. Coordinated by Prof. Francisca Ferreira Michelon.

Secretaria de Cultura do Estado (SEDAC), Porto Alegre

Agreement with Secretaria de Cultura do Estado (SEDAC) and the Sociedade de Ginástica de Porto Alegre (SOGIPA) in the organization and treatment of the photographic archive.
