Laboratory of Biochemistry and Molecular Neuropharmacology (LABIONEM)
Area: 50 m2 LABIONEM is located in building 29 of the Center for Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Food Sciences (CCQFA), being coordinated by professors César Augusto Brüning and Cristiani Folharini Bortolatto. The research carried out by the group aims to investigate pharmacological and toxicological effects of synthetic organic compounds, as well as their molecular mechanism of action, through behavioral, biochemical and neurochemical analysis in models that use rodents. Research on neuropsychiatric disorders such as depression and anxiety, eating disorders, pain and neuroinflammation stand out. Infrastructure and equipment: The laboratory is equipped with automatic pipettes, glassware in general, equipment for behavioral analysis, surgical material, pH meter, water bath, centrifuge, analytical balance, spectrophotometer, magnetic stirrer, tube stirrer, oven, refrigerator, freezer , exhaust hood, closed cabinets for the correct storage of reagents and a computer. The laboratory also has multi-user equipment such as an ultra-freezer (-80°C), a water distiller, an ice machine, an Elisa plate reader, two ovens for drying material, a UV-Visible spectrophotometer and a scale analytical.
