Miguel Hernández University of Elche (Spain) – 2024/2025
PhD student Ketlyn da Motta, supervised by Professor Ethel Wilhelm, conducted a six-month sandwich PhD program (November 2024 to April 2025) at Miguel Hernández University of Elche (Spain) through the Institutional Program for Sandwich PhD Abroad (PDSE)/CAPES. The activities were carried out in the Sensory Transduction and Nociception Group laboratory under the supervision of her international co-supervisor, Dr. Elvira de la Peña García.
University of Lisbon (Portugal) – 2023/2024
PhD student Fernando Lopez, supervised by Professor Roselia Spanevello, participated in a twelve-month sandwich PhD program (April 2023 to March 2024) at the University of Lisbon (Portugal) through the CAPES/PrInt/UFPel program. The activities were conducted in the Neurobiology of Inflammation and Neurodegeneration laboratory under the guidance of international co-supervisor Dr. Claudia de Castro.

PhD student Jaini Paltian, supervised by Professor Ethel Wilhelm, completed a twelve-month sandwich PhD program (April 2023 to March 2024) at the University of Texas (USA) through the CAPES/PrInt/UFPel program. The activities took place in the Pain Stress Lab under the supervision of international co-supervisor Dr. Benedict James Kolber.
University of Coimbra (Portugal) – 2023/2024
PhD student Karline Rodrigues, supervised by Professor Cristiane Luchese, completed a twelve-month sandwich PhD program (April 2023 to March 2024) at the University of Coimbra (Portugal) through the CAPES/PrInt/UFPel program. The activities were conducted in the MitoXT – Mitochondrial Toxicology and Experimental Therapeutics laboratory under the supervision of international co-supervisor Dr. Paulo Oliveira.

PhD student Morgana Azevedo, supervised by Professor Rafael Lund, completed a six-month sandwich PhD program (March to August 2023) at the University of Michigan (USA) through the CAPES/PrInt/UFPel program. The activities were carried out in the Bottino Lab (Regenerative Dentistry) under the supervision of international co-supervisor Dr. Marco Bottino.

PhD student Milena Mattes Cerveira, supervised by Professor Rodrigo Vaucher, completed an eight-month sandwich PhD program (May to December 2023) at the University of Poitiers (France) with a scholarship from the CAPES/COFECUB program. The activities were carried out in the Du Site Actif au Matériau Catalytique laboratory under the supervision of international co-supervisor Dr. Catherine Especel.
