Next November, UFPel’s School of Architecture and Urbanism will host the 2019 IAPS Symposium – Ageing in Place in a World of Inequalities: How to Design Healthy Cities for Allo, which discusses how to make cities healthier and more inclusive for those who grow older. The event, considered as worldwide, has the support of IAPS (International Association of People Environment Studies), PlaceAge Project, Laboratory of Behavioral Studies of UFPel and Postgraduate Program in Architecture and Urbanism of UFPel.
The Symposium is also developed by the Centre for Healthy Cities, Aging and Citizenship Project, which is part of the Institutional Program for Internationalization of UFPel – Capes Print. This is an event that takes place every two years, promoted by IAPS research networks, in different countries. The last one was based in Tanzania, Africa.
