Professor Marco Antonio Tonus Marinho, researcher at the Department of Ecology, Zoology and Genetics of the Institute of Biology at UFPel, published in the journal Plos One the description of a fly in amber that dates back to 15-20 million years. The publication had the collaboration of international researchers, among them David Grimaldi from the Museum of Natural History, in New York.
