[ENG] UFPel is Awarded Three Capes Prizes for Dissertation Works

Three doctoral dissertations written by UFPel students received a CAPES award in 2017.
The winning works were: “Adiponectin: Relation with the distribution of body fat and influence on the risk of cardiovascular diseases”, written by Maria Carolina Borges and advised by Professor Aluisio Barros (Public Health); “Restoration of endodontically treated teeth: recommendations for clinical practice and research reporting”, written by Rafael Sarkis Onofre and advised by Professor Tatiana Pereira Cenci (Dentistry), and
“Identification of Corynebacterium Pseudotuberculosis antigens and their application in immunodiagnosis and recombinant vaccines for caseous lymphadenitis “, written by Andréa de Fátima Silva Rezende under the advising of Professor Sibele Borsuk (Biotechnology).
UFPel is the third most awarded university by CAPES in Brazil, coming behind only USP (Universidade Federal de São Paulo) and UFMG (Universidade Federal de Minas Gerais).
