Yes. The minimum term is 12 months.

Thesis projects must be defended within 15 months after entering the Program.

The regulatory deadline is in 24 months.

Can I request a deadline extension to defend my thesis? In what cases?

Yes. The deadline extension is subject to exceptional circumstances, as in cases of serious and long illness, for example. In general, the change of supervision in the course of the program, work commitments assumed by the
student, and difficulty in reconciling work and study are not considered as exceptional circumstances.

What is the maximum extension period?

The Academic and Administrative Committee can grant up to 6 months, depending on the justification and the circumstance.
