The Commission for the Reception and Management of Community Animals of CA – Centro de Artes, and FAUrb – Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism of the Federal University of Pelotas is decreed by Ordinances ORDINANCE Nº 1, OF FEBRUARY 7, 2023 and ORDINANCE Nº 35, OF DECEMBER 20, 2022 from FAURB/ UFPel. Any mistreatment of community animals will be reported to the responsible bodies.
The Behavioral Studies Laboratory supports the commission’s work by assisting in the daily care of animals such as changing water, cleaning, feeding and caring for the cold in winter by purchasing blankets and blankets.
Until December 2023, teachers and students from FAURB and CEARTE took care of two community dogs that lived on the FAURB-CEARTE campus; UFPEL: the Yellow and the Hairy. However, Yellow was diagnosed with a malignant tumor in her eye, underwent surgery and lost her eye, and because they are both very old, it was decided that they will live in a halfway house until they are adopted together.
To keep Amarela and Peluda in the halfway house we created an ongoing crowdfunding with the pix below, as accommodation costs 1,500 reais plus food per month. Anyone who can help with any amount would be very grateful!!!
