[ENG] UFPel research group teaches Robotics in South Africa

The research group “Communication, Culture and Technology (CoCTec)”, coordinated by Professor Rosaria Ilgenfritz Sperotto, participated in the Africa Creative Ensemble 2017 in Tzaneen, South Africa. Project members taught a programming and robotics course to young people from local communities and students of the Tshwane University of Technology. In partnership with the Greater Tazneen Community Foundation, the course was created under the supervision of researcher Dr. Carolina Campos Rodeghiero, and was co-authored by Professor Dr. Manuel Zunguze, from the Pedagogical University of Mozambique. UFPel students members of the project (Henrique Pizzio Mattos, Electronic Engineering, and Marco Aurélio Alkimim, Automation and Control Engineering) were in charge of elaborating the methodology and pedagogical material of the course, testing robots and proposing challenging activities for the participants.
