She holds a degree in Chemistry with Technological Attributions (1989), a degree in Chemistry/Licentiate (1994) and a Master’s in Science/Organic Chemistry from the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (1994), a PhD in Science/Organic Chemistry from the FFCL/USP-Ribeirão Preto (1998) and post-doctoral degree in Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2005) supervised by Prof. Dr. Antonio Luiz Braga. She was Deputy Director of the Organic Chemistry Division of the Brazilian Chemical Society (2010-2012). She is currently Associate Professor 1 / DE at the Federal University of Pelotas, Researcher 2 at CNPq. He has experience in the field of Chemistry, with an emphasis on Organic Chemistry, working mainly in the development of new clean synthetic methodologies for the chemical modification of substances present in renewable sources such as essential and vegetable oils and in the synthesis of organochalcogen compounds, aiming at obtaining new substances. with possible biological activities.
