LEAE started its activities in 2016. Located in room 201 of the Engineering Center – CEng of the Federal University of Pelotas – UFPel, LEAE is composed of students of different scientific levels, from undergraduate to doctorate, in addition to volunteers who take part in the projects. At LEAE, research is carried out in the areas of Environmental Engineering and Energy Engineering.

The professors of the laboratory act as members of the undergraduate course of Environmental and Sanitary Engineering and in the Postgraduation Program in Environmental Sciences at CEng, as well as in the other undergraduate courses and Postgraduation programs of UFPel and other universities at the master and doctoral levels.
