The Ph.D. in Computer Science at PPGC-UFPel offers strict training in the area of Computer Sciences within one of the research lines. Recommended in 2015 by CAPES, it was the first Doctorate in the area in the interior of Rio Grande do Sul.
Upon entering the Ph.D. in Computer Science course, the student under the supervision of a supervising professor will specialize in a subject of Computer Science, according to the chosen line of research. During its studies, he will accompany subjects relevant to his theme, carry out guided teaching activities as well as carry out and publish research in the area. At the end of the course, typically lasting four years, he will present a thesis, which is the result of his research, for evaluation by the Program.
