Since its implementation at UFPel, the Computer Science Course is one of the most sought by students, having exceeded initial expectations. For this reason, the University Administration decided to double the admissions, making summer and a winter selection, as well as expanding the vacancies offered. Since 2008, it is offered 40 vacancies in the summer entrance exam and 40 vacancies in the winter, totaling 80 vacancies annually.
Since 2009, the main selection for both tickets has been carried by the Unified Selection System (SiSU), making use of the National High School Examination (ENEM). In addition, about 10% of vacancies are reserved for selection through the School Life Assessment Program (PAVE). More information can be found on the Contest Development Coordination website. Depending on availability, a small number of vacancies may also be offered for transfers from other universities and re-options within UFPel.
