Each registrant may submit up to two abstracts as one of the author (the registrant do not have to be the first author of the abstract) until September 15th, 2019. Each registrant is responsible for the posters presentation.

The abstracts should be written in English. 

The abstracts will be compiled in the Proceedings of the XI Simpósio de Ecologia, Genética e Evolução de Drosophila, which will be available online.

Formatting instruction for the abstracts

The abstracts should be submitted in the  specified format availabe at  Abstract_Sample in Word (.doc or .docx) format.

Best study Award 

Each registrant will be able to apply one of the abstracts for the Best Study Award, as long as she/he is the first author of the abstract. During the abstract submission, choose the category of your study, Undergrad student or Grad student, and the subject area of the study Ecology, Genetics or Evolution.

The study evaluation will be carried out through analysis of the abstract, following the criteria of: text quality (grammar, spelling, accuracy and coherence); clear delimitation of the studied problem; clarity of the objectives; methodological suitability;  importance of the results; relevance of the conclusions.

The winners (one undergrad and one graduate students) in each subject area (Ecology, Genetics, and Evolution) will give a talk (10 min + 5min for questions) at the morning of November 7th, 2019. The winner can choose the spoken language during the talk, but the tet of the slides should be in English for better integration of all XI SEGED participants.
