The MIDIARS Research Lab (Media, Discourse and Social Networks Research Laboratory) was created in 2017, as a result of the work of the MIDIARS Research Group. The laboratory today is located in the Center for Languages and Communication (CLC) at the Federal University of Pelotas. The group has several post-doctorate, graduate and undergraduate students working in different projects, as well as collaborations with different labs and groups in Brazil and abroad.
The MIDIARS Research Group was born in 2013, by Raquel Recuero, Gabriela Zago (Oregon University) and Marco Bastos (University College of Dublin).
The MIDIARS Research Lab is currently coordinated by Raquel Recuero (Director) and Taiane Volcan (Scientific Coordinator).
