Social stigma can be described as the marginalization of individuals or groups by being considered ignoble, shameful or unworthy due to their race, disability, gender, culture, sexual orientation ou religion. The result of this is poverty, hunger and war. As a citizen of the world, each individual has the function to understand their role in the world and, with a few changes, impact it, always striving for union and prosperity.
With this in mind, we are proud to announce our motto for the 2021’s edition of PelotasMUN: “Break Stigmas, be a citizen of the world. Quebre Estigmas, seja um cidadão do mundo”.
Our team hopes to bring a new experience to all the participants, put into discussion themes and topics that help to break these stigmas and make them recognized themselves as citizens of the world!
