In the fifth edition of PelotasMUN, the chosen motto was “A New Era”. The idea of a New Era came from the democratization initiative of the MUN access, when for the first time there was an universitary portuguese comittee. In 2018, the event happened in the November 15th, 16th and 18th.
The chosen local to alocate the event was the “Pelotas Parque Tecnológico”, a space where public and private institutions can work along with companies and entrepeuners in order to create new products and inovating soluctions for Pelotas and the world.
Comittees
Social, Cultural and Humanitarian Comittee (SOCHUM): (A) The violation of Human Rights in Myanmar; (B) The situation of Human Rights in Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (North Korea) ; (C) Asylum for LGBTQ Individuals Fleeing Persecution.
Legal Comittee: (A) Criminal responsability of the peacekeepers; (B) Refugee’s status concession based in the sexual or gender identity.
