Second Healthy Cities Research Mission now to the UK

The second Research Mission funded by the Centre for Healthy Cities, Ageing and Citizenship supported Professor Ligia Maria Chiarelli to her travel to the UK. The objective of the Mission was established an international network on ageing and resilience studies with Oxford Brookes University (The Joint Centre for Urban Design), University of Sheffield (School of Architecture), and Heriot-Watt University (The Urban Institute). The Mission also comprised the final research meeting of the PlaceAge Project in 2019.

The Research Mission was from 24/08 to 01/09/2019 and involved the following academics:

Professors Regina Lim and Emma Wrag from Oxford Brookes University, UK.

Professors Isaiah Durosaiye and Karim Hadjri of University of Sheffield, UK.

Professors Ryan Woorych from Heriot-Watt University, Michael Murray from Keele University, and Judith Sixsmith from University of Dundee, all from the UK.

The Brazilian delegation was comprised of more eight researchers funded by the PlaceAge Project:  Professors Gisele Pereira, Eduardo Rocha, Adriana Portella and Lisandra Krebs from Federal University of Pelotas, Professors Sinval Xavier and Lorena Maia from Federal University of Rio Grande, and Research Associates Sirlene de Melo Sopeña, Tanara da Costa and Thais Libardoni from Federal University of Pelotas.

The Research Team visit the cities of Oxford, Sheffield, and Edinburgh, in the UK.
