
Luana Carla Salvi
Luana Carla Salvi is a doctoral candidate in the Biotechnology Graduate Program (CAPES 7) at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), Brazil. She holds a bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences from the University of Vale do Taquari - UNIVATES, including a sandwich period at the Universidad Pedagogica Nacional, Bogotá, Colombia (2019), and a master's degree in Environment and Development (2021-2022) from UNIVATES. Throughout her studies, she has contributed to several research, teaching, and extension projects, exploring topics such as ecology, education, genetics, and human and animal health. She was ranked 1st in the doctoral selection processes for the Graduate Programs in Environment and Development - PPGAD/UNIVATES (2022B) and the Graduate Program in Biotechnology - PPGB/UFPEL (2022B). Currently, she is a doctoral scholarship holder (PROEX/CAPES) at the Structural Genomics Laboratory of UFPel, developing research in biotechnology applied to animal production with a focus on molecular markers for traits of interest under the guidance of Professor Dr. Vinicius Farias Campos.
