The IEEE SPS/CASS Seasonal School on Digital Processing of Visual Signals and Applications (DPVSA) is an event that provides an ambiance for fruitful exchange of ideas and discussion of challenges of this area in the near future, bringing together experts from both academia and industry. The main target audience is the community of Visual Signals Processing and Applications, composed by graduate and undergraduate students, professors, as well as industry or research professionals.
The huge amount of images and videos generated at every moment, together with the availability of high-performance processing and communication resources bloom out in plenty of nice and useful applications. The DPVSA school covers a range of fields that constitute an interdisciplinary domain, hopefully adding up synergistically to enforce everyone’s work.
In 2020, the IEEE SPS/CASS DPVSA will be fully virtual and will take place on October 19th to 21st. The school is organized by the Video Technology Research Group (ViTech) and the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), with the sponsorship and support of the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS), the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS), and the IEEE CASS Visual Signal Processing and Communications Technical Committee (VSPC-TC).
