O IX Congresso Internacional de Filosofia – anteriormente Congresso Internacional de Filosofia Moral e Política –, promovido pelo Programa de Pós-Graduação em Filosofia da Universidade Federal de Pelotas, decorrerá entre 03 e 06 de novembro de 2025 e terá como tema aglutinador a relação entre Natureza, Ecopolítica e Tecnologia.
O IX Congresso Internacional de Filosofia propõe-se promover a reflexão sobre duas dimensões dessa relação: a dimensão que diz respeito às relações entre humanos, focando-se na sociedade, alguns dos seus desenvolvimentos tecnológicos mais recentes, seus pressupostos e implicações éticas, sociais e políticas (inteligência artificial e ramificações éticas e políticas, privacidade, desgaste da democracia, dos direitos e das instituições, potencial da tecnologia como ferramenta de controle e de libertação, etc.); e a dimensão que diz respeito às relações dos humanos com o seu entorno, avaliação dos seus pressupostos ontológicos, epistêmicos, éticos e políticos, dos impactos, desafios e horizonte de ação, lugar da tecnologia e da biotecnologia).
A inscrição deverá ser realizada até 2 de novembro de 2025, por meio deste formulário.

Registration
The 9th International Congress of Philosophy – previously called International Congress of Moral and Political Philosophy –, organized by the Graduate Program in Philosophy of the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), will take place from 03 to 06 of November 2025, addressing the relation between Nature, Ecopolitics and Technology.
The 9th International Congress of Philosophy seeks to promote reflection on two dimensions of that relation: the one regarding human relations, focusing on society, some of the recent technological developments, their presuppositions and ethical, social, and political implications (artificial intelligence and its ethical and political ramifications, privacy, erosion of democracy, rights and institutions, technological potential for control and liberation, etc.); and the other pertaining to the relation of human beings and their surroundings, the evaluation of its ontological, epistemic, ethical, and political presuppositions, its impacts, challenges and possibilities for action, as well as the place held in it by technology and biotechnology).
Registration is free and must take place until November 2, 2025 using this form.
Registration is mandatory to obtain a certificate.
Relevant information
Registration in the Congress is free of charge. However, the Organizing Committee asks the participants to contribute with 1 Kg of non-perishable foods per person. The contributions will later be delivered, by volunteers, to community kitchens in Pelotas.
