Daniel Palomino received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Computer Science from Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS) in 2013 and 2017, respectively. He is currently a Professor with the Center for Engineering (CENG) at Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), Brazil and a research member of the Group of Architectures and Integrated Circuits (GACI) and the Video Technology Research Group (ViTech). He is also with the Postgraduate Program in Computer Science (PPGC), UFPel, where he serves as an advisor for Master’s and Ph.D. students. Dr. Palomino research experience includes 6 months as an intern researcher at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), Germany and 11 months as a visiting professor at University of Lisbon, Portugal. His main research interests include power efficient computing systems, hardware architectures and algorithms for image and video coding.
