Mariana Härter Remião

Adjunct Professor at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel) and Vice-Coordinator of the Structural Genomics Laboratory.

Adjunct Professor in the Undergraduate Biotechnology Program at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel). She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biotechnology (2012), a Master’s degree (2014), and a Ph.D. (2017) from the Graduate Program in Biotechnology at UFPel, as well as a specialization in Clinical Embryology from the Latin American Network of Assisted Reproduction (2017).

She serves as faculty member and coordinator of the Undergraduate Biotechnology Program at UFPel. In the Graduate Program in Biotechnology, she acts as faculty member and co-advisor of graduate students.

In academic governance, she is a member of the Ethics Committee for the Use of Animals (CEUA/UFPel), the Undergraduate Program Structuring Teaching Committee (NDE), and the Extension Integration Support Center (NAIE) of the Biotechnology undergraduate program.

In research, she serves as Deputy Coordinator (Vice-Coordinator) of the Structural Genomics Laboratory at UFPel, where her work focuses on epigenetics, toxicology, and environmental biotechnology.

She also develops and coordinates teaching and outreach projects aimed at science communication and the promotion of university entrepreneurship, strengthening the connection between academic research, innovation, and society.
