Ana Ruth Moresco Miranda – Line of research: Writing Acquisition
Has a degree in Languages from the ‘Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel)’ (1993), Master’s and Doctorate degrees in Linguistics and Languages from the ‘Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS)’ (1996 e 2000), and Postdoctorate in Linguistics (Writing Acquisition) from the ‘University of Barcelona’. Is an associate Professor at the ‘Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel)’. Works at the Graduate Program in Education (Line: Written culture, languages and learning), developing research about writing acquisition, mainly on orthography and its relation with phonology. She has experience in the areas of Linguistics and Education, with an emphasis on Psycholinguistics, working mainly on the following topics: phonological acquisition, writing acquisition, phonology, and the teaching of the mother tongue.

Marta Nörnberg – Line of research: Teacher education and literacy practices
Has a Doctorate degree in Education (2008) and a Master’s degree in Education (2002) from the ‘Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS)’. She has a degree in Pedagogy from the ‘Faculty of Philosophy Nossa Senhora Immaculada Conceição’ (1997). She works in the research group “Crianças, Infância e Culturas (CIC)” and in the “Grupo de Estudos sobre Aquisição Língua Escrita (GEALE)“. She is currently a Research Professor at the ‘Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel)’, linked to the Teaching Department of the Faculty of Education. She develops Research and Teaching activities, with an emphasis on Teacher Education, carrying out studies on the following topics: pedagogical practice, early years and childhood; child and childhood education; ethics of care and institutions; planning and management of educational processes.
