He holds a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2000) and a PhD in Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2004). She coordinated a research group on the synthesis of molecules with potential biological activity at the Institute of Technology in Fármacos-Farmanguinhos, FIOCRUZ, during the period 2004-2008. He is currently an adjunct professor at the Center for Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Food Sciences at the Federal University of Pelotas, being part of the permanent faculty of the Graduate Program in Chemistry and the Graduate Program in Biochemistry and Bioprospecting, both at UFPel. . Leader of the research group at CNPq Strategies in Organic Synthesis, coordinating the Laboratory of Chemistry Applied to Bioactives (LaQuiABio). He has experience in the field of Organic Synthesis, with an emphasis on Heterocycle Chemistry, studying the synthesis of molecules with potential pharmacological activity.
