Doctor and Master in Science Education, with initial training in Licentiate in Chemistry, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul, he developed research works focused on distance learning and currently works with the training of Science teachers, transiting in the area of thought philosophy for Science Teaching. He is a professor at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel), a member of the Chemistry Teaching Laboratory (LABEQ-UFPel) and a collaborator in projects in the Chemical Education Area (AEQ) of the Federal University of Rio Grande do Sul (UFRGS).
