Criada em 1991, a UJI posicionou-se como uma universidade local, caracterizada pelo tratamento personalizado, pela agilidade dos procedimentos administrativos e por um significativo n\u00edvel de participa\u00e7\u00e3o de seus membros na vida universit\u00e1ria, gra\u00e7as, entre outros fatores, a um campus integrado, com modernas instala\u00e7\u00f5es funcionais e sustent\u00e1veis.
