{"id":2022,"date":"2016-12-12T09:14:28","date_gmt":"2016-12-12T11:14:28","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.ufpel.edu.br\/ppgs\/?page_id=2022"},"modified":"2024-10-07T19:15:16","modified_gmt":"2024-10-07T22:15:16","slug":"lines-of-research","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/wp.ufpel.edu.br\/ppgs\/lines-of-research\/","title":{"rendered":"Lines of research"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>City, State and Development<\/strong><br \/>\nThis line of research intends to analyze practices and conceptions of citizenship and democracy as expressions of the relations society-State; associative forms in the cities, as well as spatial and social conflicts; new sociabilities and daily life in the cities; new ruralities, and the economic and social development processes in their epistemological inter-relations with the environment; participative experiences at the urban and regional administration and planning; social movements and collective identities.<\/p>\n<p><em>Professors in this line of research<\/em>: <span class=\"Apple-style-span\">Fl\u00e1vio Sacco dos Anjos<\/span>, <span class=\"Apple-style-span\">L\u00e9o Peixoto Rodrigues<\/span><span class=\"Apple-style-span\">, William H\u00e9ctor G\u00f3mez Soto, Simone da Silva Ribeiro Gomes, and Marcio Barcellos (Collaborating Professor).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Social Theories and Knowledge<\/strong><br \/>\nThis line of research is focused on debating knowledge in a broad sense. It approaches subjects related to the sociology of knowledge, the sociology of science and the sociology of sociology. It includes various themes, such as epistemological perspectives on social theories; the critical problematization of the relationship between knowledge and society; scientific production in a disciplinary as well as an interdisciplinary context; and science as an autonomous social space in relation to other spaces, Brazilian sociology and other national sociologies. It also discusses the pertinence of new and old categories of knowledge in order to think about the social, such as class, race, ethnicity, gender etc.<\/p>\n<p><span class=\"Apple-style-span\"><em>Professors in this line of research<\/em>: L\u00e9o Peixoto Rodrigues, Marcus Vinicius Spolle, Pedro Robertt, William H\u00e9ctor G\u00f3mez Soto, Rodrigo Cantu de Souza, Marilis Lemos De Almeida, Alfredo Falero (Affiliated Professor), and Marcos Lacerda (PNPD).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><strong>Work, Organizations and Identity<\/strong><br \/>\nThis line of research analyzes transformations ocurred in the world of work in contemporary society, such as: productive restructuring processes, flexibilization of working relationships, self-managed work, and organizational changes. It deals with matters that affect both the objective and the subjective dimension of workers\u2019 lives, in their professional space and collective organization as well as in their daily lives. It involves the study of class, groups and workers\u2019 sectors forms of organization, as well as their living conditions, their forms of resistance, and cultural and identity conformation. It also analyzes the production of new economic practices and enterpreneurial discourses that create new ways for individuals to relate to their careers and ways of generating income.
