He holds a degree in Industrial Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2000) and a PhD in Chemistry from the Federal University of Santa Maria (2004). She coordinated a research group on the synthesis of molecules with potential biological activity at the Institute of Technology in Farmacos-Farmanguinhos, FIOCRUZ, during the period 2004-2008. He is currently an associate professor at the Center for Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Food Sciences (CCQFA) at the Federal University of Pelotas, being part of the permanent faculty of the Postgraduate Program in Chemistry and the Postgraduate Program in Biochemistry and Bioprospecting, both from UFPel. Leader of the Organic Synthesis Strategies research group at CNPq, coordinating the Laboratory of Chemistry Applied to Bioactives (LaQuiABio). He has experience in the area of \u200b\u200bOrganic Synthesis, with an emphasis on Heterocycle Chemistry, studying the synthesis of molecules with potential pharmacological activity. From 2018 to 2021 he was Deputy Director of the Center for Chemical, Pharmaceutical and Food Sciences (CCQFA) and since 2021 he has held an administrative role as Director of the CCQFA at UFPel.<\/span><\/p>\n
