The projects aim to study the effects of physical exercise at different stages of Chronic Kidney Disease (CKD), with a primary focus on the effects of intradialytic exercise. Its goal is to produce scientific knowledge that promotes new interpretations and academic and school experiences in Brazil and Portugal. The research aligns with contemporary discussions on Childhood Studies and aims to contribute to the development of Physical Education and Early Childhood Education in both professional training and practice. The core mission of this group is to develop research and extension projects in the fields of Physical Education, Childhood, and Gymnastics. Over the years, it has expanded to include more than 20 members. The group has a distinguished scientific output, publishing numerous articles annually in highly ranked journals under the Qualis system. Initially, its primary research focus was the motivational effects of feedback on motor learning. More recently, with an increasing number of researchers, LaCOM has diversified its investigations, exploring how various socio-cognitive-affective factors influence performance, learning, and motor development across different populations and contexts. These factors include learner autonomy support, feedback choices, observational models, and practice volume. The lab&#8217;s research also covers mental practice and fundamental motor skill development in children.
