O pesquisador esteve reunido para tratar de projetos em andamento entre o programa de biotecnologia e a UIC em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o com os pesquisadores americanos Dr. Lawrence Schook e Dr. Kyle Schachtschneider. Dentre os projetos em colabora\u00e7\u00e3o destaca-se o desenvolvimento do modelo Oncopig para o estudo do c\u00e2ncer de bexiga, projeto financiado recentemente em parte pela FAPERGS. A colabora\u00e7\u00e3o entre a UFPel e a University of Illinois entre os grupos de pesquisa j\u00e1 ocorre h\u00e1 5 anos.
