\u2013 Professor M\u00e1rcia Foster Mesko was awarded the JAAS Emerging Investigator Lectureship award, which recognizes the work of young researchers from around the world. The distinction is granted by the Journal of Analytical Atomic Spectometry of the Royal Society of Chemistry and was the first time that this award has been granted to a scientist from Latin America.<\/p>\n
