{"id":7083,"date":"2025-07-31T13:43:43","date_gmt":"2025-07-31T16:43:43","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/wp.ufpel.edu.br\/pgfisica\/?p=7083"},"modified":"2025-07-31T13:44:46","modified_gmt":"2025-07-31T16:44:46","slug":"call-for-applications-visiting-professor-position-at-the-graduate-program-in-physics","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/wp.ufpel.edu.br\/pgfisica\/2025\/07\/31\/call-for-applications-visiting-professor-position-at-the-graduate-program-in-physics\/","title":{"rendered":"Call for Applications \u2013 Visiting Professor Position at the Graduate Program in Physics\/UFPel"},"content":{"rendered":"<p data-start=\"215\" data-end=\"489\">The Graduate Program in Physics at the Federal University of Pelotas (UFPel) is pleased to announce the opening of applications for a <strong data-start=\"349\" data-end=\"371\">Visiting Professor<\/strong> position (national or international), under the simplified selection process established by <strong data-start=\"464\" data-end=\"488\">Call CAP No. 18\/2025<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"491\" data-end=\"855\">The position is open to researchers holding a Ph.D. in Physics or related fields, with proven academic and research experience in one of the following areas: Theoretical or Experimental Condensed Matter Physics, Theoretical or Experimental Statistical Physics, Theoretical or Experimental Particle and Hadron Physics, or Theoretical or Experimental Plasma Physics.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"857\" data-end=\"1363\">The position offers a full-time contract (40 hours\/week) with exclusive dedication. For <strong data-start=\"945\" data-end=\"967\">foreign candidates<\/strong>, the initial contract may last up to <strong data-start=\"1005\" data-end=\"1018\">24 months<\/strong>, with the possibility of renewal for an equal period. The <strong data-start=\"1077\" data-end=\"1101\">gross monthly salary<\/strong> is <strong data-start=\"1105\" data-end=\"1122\">BRL 24,802.62<\/strong> (equivalent to Class D, Level 1 on the Brazilian federal pay scale), which includes the base salary and a doctoral degree bonus. Please note that this amount is <strong data-start=\"1284\" data-end=\"1300\">before taxes<\/strong>, and deductions will apply according to Brazilian legislation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1365\" data-end=\"1669\">Applications must be submitted <strong data-start=\"1396\" data-end=\"1440\">between August 15 and September 18, 2025<\/strong>, exclusively via email to <strong data-start=\"1467\" data-end=\"1493\"><a class=\"cursor-pointer\" rel=\"noopener\" data-start=\"1469\" data-end=\"1491\">cpgfisica@ufpel.edu.br<\/a><\/strong>, along with the required documents. The full call and annexes, including the application form and the academic production scoring chart, are available through the links below.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1671\" data-end=\"2161\">The selection process consists of two stages: an initial evaluation of academic qualification based on the criteria used by Brazil\u2019s National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq), followed by a detailed assessment of the candidate\u2019s academic output from the past five years. The selected candidate will contribute to the consolidation and internationalization of our graduate program and is expected to foster collaborations at both national and international levels.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2163\" data-end=\"2404\">Please note that the official call is currently available only in Portuguese.
