O discente Rafael Palota da Silva\u00a0 foi orientado pelo Prof. Victor Goncalves na tese intitulada\u00a0 \u201cProcessos difrativos em colis\u00f5es hadr\u00f4nicas a altas energias\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Em sua tese, o agora doutor Rafael Palota da Silva, demonstrou que o processo de produ\u00e7\u00e3o dupla dos m\u00e9sons vetoriais J\/Psi e Upsilon,\u00a0 poder\u00e1 ser estudado nos processos difrativos presentes nas colis\u00f5es entre pr\u00f3tons analisadas no Grande Colisor de H\u00e1drons (LHC), localizado em Genebra, Su\u00ed\u00e7a. Al\u00e9m disso, aprimorou o tratamento do processo de dissocia\u00e7\u00e3o difrativa em colis\u00f5es pr\u00f3ton &#8211; pr\u00f3ton e\u00a0 pr\u00f3ton &#8211; n\u00facleo, o que permitiu esclarecer o papel das flutua\u00e7\u00f5es das diferentes configura\u00e7\u00f5es part\u00f4nicas no comportamento das se\u00e7\u00f5es de choque total, el\u00e1stica e difrativa\u00a0 no regime de altas energias presente no LHC e em Raios C\u00f3smicos.
