Em 2012, recebeu o pr\u00eamio CBPF de F\u00edsica pelo seu trabalho em Mec\u00e2nica Estat\u00edstica e Biof\u00edsica e o pr\u00eamio Jos\u00e9 Leite Lopes, como orientador da melhor tese de doutorado em f\u00edsica. Em 2014, recebeu o pr\u00eamio Pesquisador Ga\u00facho da Funda\u00e7\u00e3o de Amparo \u00e0 Pesquisa do Rio Grande do Sul (FAPERGS), considerado a principal distin\u00e7\u00e3o voltada \u00e0 ci\u00eancia e tecnologia do Estado.
