Acesso em: 05 jan. 2023.<\/p>\n<p>A pr\u00e9-instrumenta\u00e7\u00e3o endod\u00f4ntica \u00e9 uma etapa preliminar ao preparo biomec\u00e2nico propriamente dito e engloba basicamente a localiza\u00e7\u00e3o, a explora\u00e7\u00e3o, o cateterismo, a negocia\u00e7\u00e3o, a amplia\u00e7\u00e3o cervical e o glide path, caracterizando-se por ser desafiadora em canais constritos e\/ou curvos e fundamental para a execu\u00e7\u00e3o da terapia endod\u00f4ntica com seguran\u00e7a e previsibilidade, sendo importante a apresenta\u00e7\u00e3o detalhada de seus pressupostos, de protocolos de realiza\u00e7\u00e3o, da descri\u00e7\u00e3o das cinem\u00e1ticas a serem empregadas nos instrumentos de canal radicular de pequeno calibre movimentados manualmente, das informa\u00e7\u00f5es t\u00e9cnicas fornecidas por seus fabricante e das propriedades f\u00edsicas que tornam tais instrumentos compat\u00edveis com a referida etapa terap\u00eautica. Objetivou-se realizar uma revis\u00e3o narrativa da literatura a respeito dos variados aspectos da pr\u00e9-instrumenta\u00e7\u00e3o com instrumentos movimentados manualmente, possibilitando a organiza\u00e7\u00e3o de um artigo t\u00e9cnico e cient\u00edfico oportuno para estudantes e egressos dos cursos de Odontologia. Conclui-se que as cinem\u00e1ticas empregadas aos instrumentos endod\u00f4nticos na negocia\u00e7\u00e3o do canal radicular diferem das utilizadas no preparo do \u201cglide path\u201d e na modelagem propriamente dita; que a negocia\u00e7\u00e3o deva ser segmentada, da coroa para o \u00e1pice, e intercalada com o pr\u00e9-alargamento cervical; e que o \u201cglide path\u201d deva ser promovido depois da negocia\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Palavras-chave<\/strong>: Pr\u00e9-instrumenta\u00e7\u00e3o. Acesso em: 05 jan. 2023.<\/p>\n<p>Endodontic pre-instrumentation is a preliminary step to the biomechanical preparation itself and basically encompasses the location, exploration, catheterization, negotiation, cervical enlargement, and glide path, characterized by being challenging in constricted and\/or curved canals, being important the detailed presentation of its assumptions, of execution protocols, of the description of kinematics to be used in small-caliber root canal instruments manually moved, of the technical information provided by its manufacturer and the physical properties that make such instruments compatible with the said therapeutic stage. The aim of this study was to conduct a narrative review of the literature regarding the various aspects of pre-instrumentation with instruments moved manually, enabling the organization of a technical and scientific article suitable for students and graduates of Dentistry courses. It is concluded that the kinematics used in the endodontic instruments in the negotiation of the root canal differ from those used in the preparation of the glide path and in the modeling itself; that the negotiation should be segmented, from the crown to the apex, and interspersed with cervical pre-enlargement; and that the glide path should be promoted after the negotiation.<\/p>\n<p>Keywords: Pre-instrumentation.
