Sua constitui\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 baseada num crit\u00e9rio temporal \u2013 obras que foram incorporadas ao acervo da institui\u00e7\u00e3o desde a sua funda\u00e7\u00e3o, em 1986, at\u00e9 o ano 2000 atrav\u00e9s de doa\u00e7\u00f5es, editais etc. \u2013 sendo, portanto, uma cole\u00e7\u00e3o bastante m\u00faltipla e com in\u00fameros potenciais de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\">Dentre os diversos convidados, que inclu\u00edam professores, estudantes, t\u00e9cnicos e colaboradores externos, responderam ao nosso chamado com excelentes coment\u00e1rios Joana Lizott, Clarice Magalh\u00e3es, Eloiza Silva da Silva, Felipe Caldas, Renan Soares, Raquel Santos, Jo\u00e3o Igansi, Gustavot Diaz, Roberto Heiden, Amanda Machado Madruga, Balthazar Thiago, Gabriela Costa, Rog\u00e9rio Lima, Silvana Bajanoski, Renan Espirito Santo, Desir\u00e9e Nobre, Edward P\u00e9rez-Gonz\u00e1lez, Lauer A. artista e professor de Hist\u00f3ria da Arte na FURG<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&#8220;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Ele olha para o horizonte, para olhar para si. N\u00f3s olhamos para a imagem, para olharmos para o outro, at\u00e9 nos darmos conta, que o outro, somos n\u00f3s.<br \/>\n<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">O ato construtivo da imagem oscila entre o controle e a gestualidade, entre a figura\u00e7\u00e3o e a n\u00e3o figura\u00e7\u00e3o. A forma nos inquieta, n\u00e3o tem a gestualidade e fluidez necess\u00e1rias, e sequer o dom\u00ednio da representa\u00e7\u00e3o da figura humana segundo uma tradi\u00e7\u00e3o naturalista. Completo desrespeito a qualquer estilo, no\u00e7\u00e3o de boa forma, e com um dom\u00ednio t\u00e9cnico question\u00e1vel, no entanto, \u00e9 justamente isto a pot\u00eancia do trabalho. Entre o retrato de Simonetta Vesp\u00facio de Sandro Botticelli e a imagem de Ex\u00fa.<br \/>\n\u00c9 imposs\u00edvel dissociar o trabalho art\u00edstico de Wilson Cavalcanti, ou simplesmente, o Cava, de sua pr\u00f3pria exist\u00eancia e trajet\u00f3ria. Um homem que perambula entre a erudi\u00e7\u00e3o e o conhecimento popular. Caminha sobre tapetes vermelhos, e as ruas de ch\u00e3o batido da periferia, mas sempre, contempla os l\u00edrios do campo&#8221;.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"color: #ffffff;\"><strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Felipe Caldas<\/span><\/strong><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><br \/>\n<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pg-w622b78b392111-5\"  class=\"panel-grid panel-has-style\" ><div class=\"siteorigin-panels-stretch panel-row-style panel-row-style-for-w622b78b392111-5\" data-stretch-type=\"full\" ><div id=\"pgc-w622b78b392111-5-0\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-w622b78b392111-5-0-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"7\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 12pt; color: #ffffff;\">Cava (Wilson Cavalcanti), por <strong>Wilson Miranda<\/strong> &#8211; arquiteto e professor aposentado da UFPEL, foi diretor do MALG por duas gest\u00f5es<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #ffffff;\">&#8220;Antes de formalmente entrar no assunto proposto, ou seja, a an\u00e1lise de uma obra de arte de um artista da Cole\u00e7\u00e3o S\u00e9culo XX, do Museu de Arte Leopoldo Gotuzzo\/MALG\/CA\/UFPEL, n\u00e3o posso deixar de comentar o quanto de magn\u00edfico tornou-se esse museu.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #ffffff;\">Apenas, percorrendo a Cole\u00e7\u00e3o S\u00e9culo XX, podemos constatar um bel\u00edssimo acervo de obras de artes (pinturas, desenhos, gravuras, cer\u00e2micas e esculturas), todas obtidas atrav\u00e9s de doa\u00e7\u00f5es, que, na maioria das vezes, foram obtidas quando do encerramento das exposi\u00e7\u00f5es tempor\u00e1rias. \u00c0 \u00e9poca, era sugerido ao artista a doa\u00e7\u00e3o de uma ou mais obras para permanecer no acervo do museu.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #ffffff;\">Tamb\u00e9m, n\u00e3o posso deixar de comentar, como ex-diretor do MALG, algumas lembran\u00e7as ou mesmo momentos e situa\u00e7\u00f5es administrativas\/culturais quando do surgimento desse museu. Quando diretor do ent\u00e3o Instituto de Letras e Artes\/ILA (artes visuais, letras, m\u00fasica, teatro, arquitetura e urbanismo) passei a conviver, diariamente, com grande parte de obras de arte, objetos, documentos cartas, lembran\u00e7as de Leopoldo Gotuzzo (1887 \u2013 1983), que haviam sido trazidas do Rio de Janeiro, por ocasi\u00e3o do falecimento do artista. Todo esse acervo patrimonial encontrava-se numa sala \u00famida, anexa ao gabinete da dire\u00e7\u00e3o do ILA, sem luz direta, aguardando sua decifra\u00e7\u00e3o e posterior manuten\u00e7\u00e3o atrav\u00e9s de cataloga\u00e7\u00e3o, restaura\u00e7\u00e3o, tombamento e investiga\u00e7\u00f5es art\u00edsticas e biogr\u00e1ficas. Diariamente via aquela situa\u00e7\u00e3o com muita preocupa\u00e7\u00e3o, j\u00e1 que todo o legado art\u00edstico ali depositado, estava como carga patrimonial do ILA.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #ffffff;\">Mas, gra\u00e7as \u00e0s a\u00e7\u00f5es abnegadas de uma equipe de trabalho liderada pela profa. Luciana Araujo Renck Reis (fundadora e primeira diretora do Museu) e sua grande colaboradora, profa. Yeda Machado Luz, que contaram com apoio t\u00e9cnico de outros profissionais como muse\u00f3loga, art\u00edfice em marcenaria, restaura\u00e7\u00e3o e alunos estagi\u00e1rios, deram-se in\u00edcio os primeiros passos para a cria\u00e7\u00e3o de um museu. Aos poucos e ao mesmo tempo com pressa, em 1986, consolidou-se a ideia da funda\u00e7\u00e3o do Museu de Arte Leopoldo Gotuzzo, dentro da Pr\u00f3-Reitoria de Extens\u00e3o e Cultura \/ Universidade Federal de Pelotas. Ap\u00f3s rememorar, brevemente, a g\u00eanese do museu, volto ao assunto requerido, ou seja, um coment\u00e1rio sucinto sobre o artista visual Wilson Furtado Cavalcanti ou Cava, como tamb\u00e9m \u00e9 conhecido.<\/span><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #ffffff;\">Natural de Pelotas-RS (1950), Cava reside e trabalha em Viam\u00e3o-RS. \u00c9 um dos artistas de destaque no panorama das artes no Rio Grande do Sul, possuindo obras em acervos de institui\u00e7\u00f5es importantes do nosso estado, bem como em outros estados do Brasil. Trabalha com pintura, desenho e gravura. Teve uma inicia\u00e7\u00e3o art\u00edstica no mundo da hist\u00f3ria em quadrinho. Frequentou o Atelier Livre da Prefeitura de Porto Alegre, onde conviveu com importantes artistas da nossa hist\u00f3ria da arte como mestres Dan\u00fabio Gon\u00e7alves (1925), Paulo Peres (1935), e Mar\u00edlia Rodrigues (1937), Carlos Martins (1945).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><div id=\"pgc-w622b78b392111-5-1\"  class=\"panel-grid-cell\" ><div id=\"panel-w622b78b392111-5-1-0\" class=\"so-panel widget widget_sow-editor panel-first-child panel-last-child\" data-index=\"8\" ><div\n\t\t\t\n\t\t\tclass=\"so-widget-sow-editor so-widget-sow-editor-base\"\n\t\t\t\n\t\t>\n<div class=\"siteorigin-widget-tinymce textwidget\">\n\t<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #ffffff;\">Artista plenamente engajado nas lutas culturas de nosso pa\u00eds (1974 a 1978), v\u00ea suas insinuantes hist\u00f3rias em quadrinhos serem publicadas em jornais e revistas de \u00e2mbito estadual e nacional, como no caso da Folha da Manh\u00e3, Planeta e Pasquim. Em Porto Alegre, participa e organiza, juntamente com outros artistas, manifestos sobre Arte na Rua. O curr\u00edculo de sua produ\u00e7\u00e3o art\u00edstica \u00e9 vasto, abrangendo inclusive produ\u00e7\u00e3o de livros. Mas, sobretudo, cabe salientar sua atua\u00e7\u00e3o no campo da forma\u00e7\u00e3o de novos artistas quando funda o Atelier de Gravura em Metal do Museu do Trabalho (1988); Atelier de Litografia Oficina 11 (1992); N\u00facleo de Gravuras do Rio Grande do Sul; N\u00facleo de Gravura do Rio Grande do Sul e a Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Independente de Artistas \u2013 AINDA (1997).<br \/>\nTrata-se de um artista inquieto perante o mundo em que vive. \u00c9 um artista de tra\u00e7o fortemente expressionista. Movimento que teve in\u00edcio no s\u00e9culo passado, na Alemanha. Para Cava, a realidade atua como forte for\u00e7a propulsora na sua produ\u00e7\u00e3o art\u00edstica, com uma figura\u00e7\u00e3o de grande impacto emocional e express\u00e3o subjetiva.<br \/>\nSeguindo o que Panofsky (2001) nos elucida, a obra em quest\u00e3o, ao ser analisada sob o ponto de vista iconol\u00f3gico, nos surpreende com seus elementos, corpos e rostos de imensa for\u00e7a expressiva repleta de significados que nos levam \u00e0s reflex\u00f5es alusivas a problemas sociais, \u00e9tnicos, pol\u00edticos, psicol\u00f3gicos.<br \/>\nNa obra aqui lan\u00e7ada, a figura de uma mulher est\u00e1 problematizado com um corte espacial que separa corpo e cabe\u00e7a.<br \/>\nA grande forma alaranjada do corpo domina o espa\u00e7o e d\u00e1 vis\u00e3o de uma cabe\u00e7a de perfil, de cor cinza, que olha para uma realidade desconhecida, suspensa, dentro de linhas geom\u00e9tricas. O grande corpo cor de laranja, sobrevive na composi\u00e7\u00e3o, com linhas curvas e sensuais onde se deposita um frio cora\u00e7\u00e3o azul. Na referida obra existe um contraste das linhas curvas do corpo com o espa\u00e7o geometrizado com \u00e2ngulos, onde a cabe\u00e7a erguida, sobressai buscando respira\u00e7\u00e3o.<br \/>\nLinhas fr\u00e1geis, como pernas, sustentam a composi\u00e7\u00e3o. \u00c9 a representa\u00e7\u00e3o de um corpo que parece estar inflado de frusta\u00e7\u00f5es com um pobre cora\u00e7\u00e3o azul, ao centro, quase parando. Desde ent\u00e3o recebeu diversos pr\u00eamios na \u00e1rea. Tenho o prazer de conhec\u00ea-la! N\u00e3o s\u00f3 isso, fui sua aluna. Ela me recebia todas as manh\u00e3s, em sua casa, para aulas particulares, com direito a caf\u00e9, almo\u00e7o e jogo de sinuca (tinha uma mesa enorme na sala).<br \/>\nDedicada \u00e0 gravura em metal, usa materiais de boa qualidade para as impress\u00f5es, como pap\u00e9is importados, placas de cobre, feltros especiais, prensa el\u00e9trica e tintas de fabrica\u00e7\u00e3o pr\u00f3pria. Tudo isso Eliane dividia comigo, gratuitamente. Simplesmente, pela paix\u00e3o de ensinar a arte da gravura art\u00edstica.<br \/>\nAo olhar a obra da artista do acervo do MALG, talvez n\u00e3o se consiga perceber tudo que envolve a sua produ\u00e7\u00e3o. Gravura \u00e9 uma imagem obtida atrav\u00e9s da impress\u00e3o a partir de uma matriz, que pode ser madeira, pedra ou metal.<br \/>\nA artista utilizou 4 matrizes, em cobre, ou seja, uma matriz para cada cor e imprimiu sobre o papel hahnem\u00fchle, um papel de origem alem\u00e3, composto 100 por cento em algod\u00e3o.<br \/>\nAs tintas \u201ctalho doce\u201d, pr\u00f3prias para o metal, foram produzidas artesanalmente pela Eliane, s\u00e3o parte de suas pesquisas.<br \/>\nDepois de pronta a matriz, ela \u00e9 entintada e colocada em uma prensa de cilindro para transferir a imagem para o papel. O importante a destacar \u00e9 a quest\u00e3o da reprodu\u00e7\u00e3o em gravura. Ela n\u00e3o \u00e9 uma obra \u00fanica como a pintura. Podemos observar que h\u00e1 inscrito na obra, a esquerda, a l\u00e1pis, uma fra\u00e7\u00e3o: 2\/10. Isto quer dizer que essa gravura \u00e9 a n\u00famero 2, ou segunda c\u00f3pia, de um total de 10 id\u00eanticas. Olhar curioso e furtivo que circulava pelos corredores do Centro de Artes da Universidade Federal Santa Maria, desviando-se dos olhares de outras pessoas. Professor de desenho na faculdade de artes onde eu iniciava meus estudos.<br \/>\nEra a d\u00e9cada de 1990 e a \u00e2nsia pela liberdade de todas as formas tomava conta das pessoas. H\u00e1 pouco tempo findava a ditadura militar no Brasil. E os anos de 1990 deram vaz\u00e3o a tudo aquilo que havia sido tolhido e recalcado, por mais de 20 anos, durante o regime ditatorial.<br \/>\nNas escolas de artes algumas tem\u00e1ticas decorrentes desse turbilh\u00e3o de novas formas de vontade de viver um novo Brasil eram problematizadas e trabalhadas por alguns professores-artistas, como por exemplo as quest\u00f5es de g\u00eanero, as identidades, a diversidade e a s\u00edndrome da imunodefici\u00eancia adquirida \u2013 Aids, que ceifou a vida de um expressivo n\u00famero de artistas no mundo inteiro.<br \/>\nUm deles foi Vagner com sua tem\u00e1tica \u2013 naquele que seria seu \u00faltimo per\u00edodo de sua produ\u00e7\u00e3o art\u00edstica \u2013 que revelaria um homoerotismo latente que tornar-se-ia presente, nas grandes dimens\u00f5es de seu desenho e, ao mesmo tempo preservava seu anonimato, representado por figuras masculinas ac\u00e9falas em seus ambientes sedutores e permissivos, silenciosos e sufocantes, sensuais e fatais, nos quais um decorativismo que atrai e enevoa e, ao mesmo tempo aniquila, como sua obra e a Aids, configura-se como uma met\u00e1fora sobre as inten\u00e7\u00f5es da obra e as a\u00e7\u00f5es em torno da vida, da transitoriedade humana e da presen\u00e7a da morte anunciada.<br \/>\nSedutoramente, silenciosamente e fatalmente&#8221;.<br \/>\n<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: right;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; que se acertam entre si, libertando a criatividade do espectador e ao mesmo tempo entrela\u00e7ando-a ao imagin\u00e1rio do autor.<br \/>\nPara o cumprimento deste ato po\u00e9tico cada artista concebe suas solu\u00e7\u00f5es.<br \/>\nAqui as pinceladas se agrupam para moldar de modo espont\u00e2neo o rosto de um homem antigo<br \/>\nque com um dos olhos relembra seu passado, e com o outro encara o seu presente. color: #ffffff;\">&#8220;O que pode o imagin\u00e1rio, e o quanto as imagens nos permitem devanear?&#8230;em quais momentos do tr\u00e2nsito digital, cheio de acessos, desvios, congestionamentos e deslocamentos, conseguimos ainda nos debru\u00e7ar sobre uma imagem? E o quanto nos permitimos devanear sobre elas?<br \/>\nExiste aqui uma quest\u00e3o de tempo, disponibilidade e presen\u00e7a, afinal os corpos existem, mesmo que do outro lado das telas. A sele\u00e7\u00e3o desta gravura fala sobre os contrapontos e, \u00e9 importante que antes de ler esse texto, que seja poss\u00edvel um momento em que voc\u00ea se permita um encontro com essa imagem.<br \/>\nN\u00e3o posso lhe contar nada sem que voc\u00ea tenha tempo de criar suas pr\u00f3prias fabula\u00e7\u00f5es. Pois, o tempo acontece na xilogravura em etapas: primeiro voc\u00ea encontra a madeira e nela vai dedicar boa parte do seu trabalho, assim fico a imaginar como a mulher e artista desta obra foi escavando os sulcos, pensando nos claros e escuros que gostaria para essa imagem, tirando as rebarbas, fazendo testes de impress\u00e3o, pensando e sentindo a for\u00e7a que deveria ser despendida para que a tinta se fixasse bem ao papel, criando detalhes sutis que comp\u00f5em uma narrativa, uma mulher fez tr\u00eas mulheres. Juntas, sorridentes, tranquilas. realizada pelo MALG durante o per\u00edodo de restri\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e0s visita\u00e7\u00f5es atrav\u00e9s das plataformas digitais do museu \u2013 Instagram, Facebook, site \u2013 entre novembro de 2020 e fevereiro de 2021, que consistiu num convite para diversos colaboradores do museu escolherem uma obra da Cole\u00e7\u00e3o S\u00e9culo XX e elaborarem um breve coment\u00e1rio sobre a referida obra e o porqu\u00ea de sua prefer\u00eancia.<\/p>\n<p>A Cole\u00e7\u00e3o S\u00e9culo XX \u00e9 uma cole\u00e7\u00e3o relativamente grande, possui uma diversidade de linguagens, estilos, t\u00e9cnicas e proced\u00eancias. Sua constitui\u00e7\u00e3o \u00e9 baseada num crit\u00e9rio temporal \u2013 obras que foram incorporadas ao acervo da institui\u00e7\u00e3o desde a sua funda\u00e7\u00e3o, em 1986, at\u00e9 o ano 2000 atrav\u00e9s de doa\u00e7\u00f5es, editais etc. \u2013 sendo, portanto, uma cole\u00e7\u00e3o bastante m\u00faltipla e com in\u00fameros potenciais de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o.<\/p>\n<p>Dentre os diversos convidados, que inclu\u00edam professores, estudantes, t\u00e9cnicos e colaboradores externos, responderam ao nosso chamado com excelentes coment\u00e1rios Joana Lizott, Clarice Magalh\u00e3es, Eloiza Silva da Silva, Felipe Caldas, Renan Soares, Raquel Santos, Jo\u00e3o Igansi, Gustavot Diaz, Roberto Heiden, Amanda Machado Madruga, Balthazar Thiago, Gabriela Costa, Rog\u00e9rio Lima, Silvana Bajanoski, Renan Espirito Santo, Desir\u00e9e Nobre, Edward P\u00e9rez-Gonz\u00e1lez, Lauer A.
