Mae Mekea (caring for the planet) is a lifestyle, a way of rethinking our actions and understanding that the environment is our family, part of our lives, and a living being that must be respected. Our ideology is co-produced with the Indigenous Communities that are part of our project and advocates a radical change in how contemporary society relates to the environment. Climate change is increasingly severe and is happening because of the irresponsible way we treat our planet. Caring for the environment, nature and animals is our obligation since this entire ecosystem was present long before humans were known as it is. Nature, the Forest, is our home, and our mother.
