Museu Mauritshuis, Haia, Pa\u00edses Baixos.)<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\" data-start=\"101\" data-end=\"724\">Rembrandt, em <em data-start=\"115\" data-end=\"142\">Philosopher in Meditation<\/em> (1632), n\u00e3o nos entrega uma ilustra\u00e7\u00e3o da filosofia, mas sua pr\u00f3pria respira\u00e7\u00e3o suspensa. A cena \u00e9 composta por poucos elementos: um interior modesto, de madeira envelhecida, uma escada em espiral que se dissolve na penumbra, uma mulher sentada junto ao fogo, e, ao centro, um velho pensador curvado, absorvido pela pr\u00f3pria presen\u00e7a. A luz que invade o aposento, essa luz densa e espiritual, marca de Rembrandt, n\u00e3o ilumina o fil\u00f3sofo para os outros, mas o envolve em uma esp\u00e9cie de epifania silenciosa. N\u00e3o \u00e9 um retrato do discurso! Neste quadro h\u00e1 o peso do tempo, a presen\u00e7a do pensamento.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"726\" data-end=\"1247\">Essa n\u00e3o \u00e9 uma alegoria cl\u00e1ssica da raz\u00e3o, como nas pinturas neocl\u00e1ssicas. N\u00e3o vemos s\u00edmbolos da l\u00f3gica ou da erudi\u00e7\u00e3o. O \u201cfil\u00f3sofo\u201d aqui \u00e9 quase indistinto, n\u00e3o sabemos seu nome, sua escola, seu livro. Ele pensa como se respira. Est\u00e1 entregue ao pr\u00f3prio ser, ao lento desdobramento da consci\u00eancia que n\u00e3o se expressa em palavras, mas se curva sobre si mesma. Como em certos momentos de Heidegger, o pensar aqui n\u00e3o \u00e9 produ\u00e7\u00e3o de conceitos, mas um escutar. Uma escuta do Ser, da finitude, do sil\u00eancio que habita o tempo.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1249\" data-end=\"1835\">A escada em espiral, \u00e0 esquerda, \u00e9 talvez o s\u00edmbolo mais poderoso e discreto da pintura. Ela n\u00e3o leva diretamente a lugar algum. N\u00e3o h\u00e1 come\u00e7o nem fim vis\u00edvel. \u00c9 o percurso do pensamento que sobe e desce, que se enrosca sobre si, que n\u00e3o promete sa\u00edda. A filosofia, sugerida por Rembrandt, n\u00e3o \u00e9 caminho reto: \u00e9 espiral. E essa espiral se d\u00e1 no interior do esp\u00edrito, onde cada volta \u00e9 retorno e supera\u00e7\u00e3o, repeti\u00e7\u00e3o e diferen\u00e7a. Trata-se de um labirinto ontol\u00f3gico, em que o fil\u00f3sofo se perde e se encontra a cada instante, n\u00e3o como um exerc\u00edcio racional, mas como destino existencial.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1837\" data-end=\"2527\">A mulher junto ao fogo, aparentemente entregue a tarefas dom\u00e9sticas, n\u00e3o \u00e9 menos essencial. Ela representa o outro polo da vida: o cotidiano, o calor do mundo, a persist\u00eancia da vida comum. Ela n\u00e3o olha para o fil\u00f3sofo. Habita outra dimens\u00e3o, ou talvez a mesma, por outro modo. Enquanto o pensamento se recolhe, o mundo continua. Essa coexist\u00eancia silenciosa entre o pensamento e o vivido lembra que o filosofar n\u00e3o \u00e9 fuga do mundo, mas outra forma de habit\u00e1-lo. O fogo, neste caso, \u00e9 o sopro vital que permite ao pensamento n\u00e3o se tornar abstra\u00e7\u00e3o. A filosofia, para n\u00e3o morrer de si mesma, precisa desse fogo, da mulher, do corpo, do tempo que cozinha o p\u00e3o enquanto o esp\u00edrito vagueia.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2529\" data-end=\"3064\">A luz que banha o fil\u00f3sofo vem de fora, mas sua origem permanece incerta. \u00c9 uma luz que n\u00e3o projeta sombra n\u00edtida. Ela se funde com a penumbra, tornando o espa\u00e7o pict\u00f3rico espesso, lento. Essa luz n\u00e3o \u00e9 a da raz\u00e3o cartesiana, clara, distinta, geometrizante, mas uma luz \u00edntima, interior, quase espiritual. \u00c9 como se Rembrandt nos dissesse que o pensamento verdadeiro n\u00e3o \u00e9 ilumina\u00e7\u00e3o total, mas conviv\u00eancia com o obscuro. A clareza, aqui, \u00e9 sempre parcial, sempre entrecortada por sombra. Pensar \u00e9 acolher esse claro-escuro do mundo.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3066\" data-end=\"3525\">A pintura se torna, ent\u00e3o, uma medita\u00e7\u00e3o sobre a pr\u00f3pria natureza do tempo e da interioridade. O fil\u00f3sofo n\u00e3o est\u00e1 \u201cproduzindo\u201d nada. Ele est\u00e1 sendo. E esse \u201cser\u201d diante do tempo, diante do sil\u00eancio, diante da morte, esse \u00e9 o gesto mais filos\u00f3fico poss\u00edvel. Ele n\u00e3o responde a perguntas: ele as sustenta. Ele \u00e9 a pr\u00f3pria pergunta, silenciosa, dobrada em si, contida no corpo fr\u00e1gil, na cabe\u00e7a inclinada, no sopro de luz que insiste em pousar sobre sua testa.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3527\" data-end=\"3864\">Rembrandt n\u00e3o nos mostra um fil\u00f3sofo no sentido acad\u00eamico. Mostra-nos um homem atravessado pela tarefa do pensar, no mais humano e essencial dos sentidos. A filosofia n\u00e3o \u00e9 sua profiss\u00e3o. \u00c9 sua condi\u00e7\u00e3o. Uma solid\u00e3o que n\u00e3o \u00e9 isolamento, mas morada. Um quarto modesto que, por instantes, torna-se templo. Uma escada que sobe para dentro.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"3871\" data-end=\"4256\"><em data-start=\"3878\" data-end=\"3905\">Philosopher in Meditation<\/em> \u00e9 do que \u00e9. N\u00e3o \u00e9 uma imagem da sabedoria. Como sempre digo aos meus alunos (evocando Plat\u00e3o), e como h\u00e3o se lembrar minhas filhas, Helena Poesia e Aurora Poesia: fil\u00f3sofo n\u00e3o \u00e9 aquele que sabe, n\u00e3o \u00e9 o s\u00e1bio! Mas aquele que est\u00e1 disposto a se colocar no caminho da sabedoria. \u00c9 isso que vejo no quadro de Rembrandt: o ser que pensa, o ser que sofre, o ser que persiste na medita\u00e7\u00e3o. Em tempos de pensamentos artificiais e velocidade, essa pintura nos convida a uma \u00e9tica da lentid\u00e3o, da interioridade, da escuta. Pensar, Rembrandt parece sussurrar, n\u00e3o \u00e9 gritar ideias. \u00c9 sentar-se em sil\u00eancio, inclinar a cabe\u00e7a, deixar que a luz e a sombra nos toquem.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4258\" data-end=\"4387\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">E nisso, sem alarde, Rembrandt torna vis\u00edvel o que raramente \u00e9 visto: a dignidade do esp\u00edrito em sua mais humilde e solene forma.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"4258\" data-end=\"4387\" data-is-last-node=\"\" data-is-only-node=\"\">Prof. (e aluno) Alexandre H.
