LabCom meets with the Canguçu City Hall team to talk about urban mobility

Last Monday (10), the laboratory participated in a meeting to discuss urban planning in the city of Canguçu. The conversation took place at the Faculty of Architecture and Urbanism and, in addition to the presence of students and professors, the meeting included a team involved in the urban development of Canguçu, as well as a representative of PREC UFPel (Pro-Rectory of Extension and Culture).

After the conversation, the laboratory was invited to initially develop a study and, later, a mobility project that prioritizes pedestrians, cyclists and means of public transport in the city. This project would aim to reduce mortality rates due to traffic accidents, as well as improve the quality of life of residents. The studies will be developed in a multidisciplinary way and are scheduled for the beginning of the next semester.
