As artes visuais, em particular a pintura de vasos, representa com frequ\u00eancia essas rela\u00e7\u00f5es idealizadas e complementa as evid\u00eancias dispon\u00edveis sobre a vis\u00e3o grega dessas rela\u00e7\u00f5es de um modo muito significativo. The visual arts, in particular vase-painting, frequently depict these idealized relationships and supplement our evidence for the Greek vision of them in important ways. As with Greek literature, the visual arts also give us a few small bits of evidence about other same-sex relations (same-age relations among males, female-female relations) which the culture did not valorize or emphasize. Entre 2006 e 2009, professor do Mestrado em Ci\u00eancias Sociais. Desde 2007, professor permanente dos Cursos de Doutorado e Mestrado em Mem\u00f3ria Social e Patrim\u00f4nio Cultural\/UFPel, e, desde 2009, dos Cursos de Mestrado e Doutorado em Hist\u00f3ria\/UFPel. Nesta universidade, foi diretor do Instituto de Ci\u00eancias Humanas por dois mandatos (2002-2010), coordenador do Curso de Hist\u00f3ria (2000-2002), idealizador e coordenador do Laborat\u00f3rio de Antropologia e Arqueologia (2001-2012), do Museu Etnogr\u00e1fico da Col\u00f4nia Maciel (desde 2006), do Museu da Col\u00f4nia Francesa (desde 2015), do Laborat\u00f3rio de Estudos da Cer\u00e2mica Antiga (desde 2011) e do Circuito de Museus \u00c9tnicos (desde 2008). Foi Presidente (2001-2003) e Vice-Presidente (2004-2005) da Sociedade Brasileira de Estudos Cl\u00e1ssicos, tendo sido Presidente do V Congresso da Sociedade Brasileira de Estudos Cl\u00e1ssicos (SBEC), realizado em 2003. Foi coordenador nacional do GT de Hist\u00f3ria Antiga da Associa\u00e7\u00e3o Nacional de Hist\u00f3ria (ANPUH) entre 2007 e 2008.
