Its various interrelations will be observed, especially the matrix of inseparability between music, poetry and dance, as well as the contributions of various disciplines, among them, ancient history, classical archeology, ancient epigraphy, classical philology, ancient philosophy and musical theory. In being promoted, from 2012, by the Laboratory of Studies on Ancient Ceramics (LECA / UFPel), particular attention will be given to images and materiality as sources for knowledge of ancient music; in being linked to PPGH-UFPel, whose area is Frontiers and Identities, among the thematic approaches that will be approached, the meeting will seek to discuss such perspectives, highlighting situations of interculturality and hybridization.
In 1992, the 1st Journey of Ancient History (JHA / UFPel) was organized in partnership with the Symposium of Ancient History of UFRGS and with the neighbor University of Rio Grande (FURG).
