Mariana Remi\u00e3o, no Programa de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Biotecnologia (PPGBiotec), vinculado ao Centro de Desenvolvimento Tecnol\u00f3gico (CDTec) da UFPel.<\/p>\n<p>O time de inventores inclui:<br \/>\nVinicius Farias Campos, Ant\u00f4nio Duarte Pagano, Mariana H\u00e4rter Remi\u00e3o, Diego Serrasol do Amaral, Tony Leandro Rezende Silveira e Claudio Martin Pereira de Pereira.<br \/>\nSegundo os pesquisadores, a tecnologia representa um avan\u00e7o significativo nas pr\u00e1ticas de monitoramento ambiental e ecotoxicologia, oferecendo uma ferramenta moderna, r\u00e1pida e altamente sens\u00edvel para avaliar os impactos de contaminantes em organismos aqu\u00e1ticos.<br \/>\nUm novo paradigma para an\u00e1lise ecotoxicol\u00f3gica<br \/>\nO m\u00e9todo patenteado utiliza a express\u00e3o de genes e microRNAs como biomarcadores moleculares para identificar e quantificar efeitos t\u00f3xicos decorrentes da exposi\u00e7\u00e3o de peixes tele\u00f3steos \u2014 especialmente zebrafish (Danio rerio) \u2014 a poluentes ambientais. Por meio da t\u00e9cnica de qPCR em tempo real, \u00e9 poss\u00edvel detectar respostas biol\u00f3gicas sutis antes que danos mais amplos sejam observados nos ecossistemas.<\/p>\n<p>Essa abordagem permite:<br \/>\n\u2022 Monitoramento ambiental mais preciso, com alta sensibilidade para detectar efeitos iniciais da exposi\u00e7\u00e3o a toxinas;<br \/>\n\u2022 Avalia\u00e7\u00e3o de efici\u00eancia de processos de remedia\u00e7\u00e3o;<br \/>\n\u2022 Apoio \u00e0 regula\u00e7\u00e3o de subst\u00e2ncias qu\u00edmicas, fornecendo evid\u00eancias biol\u00f3gicas robustas;<br \/>\n\u2022 Aplica\u00e7\u00e3o em an\u00e1lises de risco ecotoxicol\u00f3gico em ambientes naturais e sistemas controlados.<br \/>\nA tecnologia se diferencia por integrar, em um \u00fanico protocolo, m\u00faltiplos biomarcadores moleculares, ampliando a capacidade diagn\u00f3stica e reduzindo o tempo necess\u00e1rio para an\u00e1lises.<br \/>\nDo laborat\u00f3rio ao mercado: impacto e inova\u00e7\u00e3o<\/p>\n<p>Com o licenciamento, a Ciclo Biotecnologia Ambiental e Sustentabilidade poder\u00e1 aplicar o m\u00e9todo em servi\u00e7os especializados de an\u00e1lise molecular e no desenvolvimento de kits diagn\u00f3sticos voltados \u00e0 ecotoxicologia, ampliando o acesso de ind\u00fastrias, gestores ambientais e \u00f3rg\u00e3os reguladores a ferramentas avan\u00e7adas de monitoramento.<br \/>\nA startup, atualmente incubada na Conectar\/UFPel, surge alinhada \u00e0 tend\u00eancia global de solu\u00e7\u00f5es biotecnol\u00f3gicas para sustentabilidade e gest\u00e3o ambiental, fortalecendo o ecossistema de inova\u00e7\u00e3o da regi\u00e3o sul do Brasil.<br \/>\nPara o Prof. Vinicius Farias Campos, coordenador t\u00e9cnico da patente e orientador da pesquisa, o licenciamento demonstra \u201ca capacidade da universidade p\u00fablica de transformar conhecimento de fronteira em solu\u00e7\u00f5es concretas, \u00fateis e necess\u00e1rias para a sociedade\u201d. Ele destaca ainda que a parceria com uma empresa formada por egressos da pr\u00f3pria UFPel \u201cmostra que inova\u00e7\u00e3o e forma\u00e7\u00e3o de pessoas caminham juntas\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>Fortalecimento do ecossistema de inova\u00e7\u00e3o da UFPel<br \/>\nO licenciamento refor\u00e7a o papel crescente da UFPel na \u00e1rea de propriedade intelectual, transfer\u00eancia de tecnologia e empreendedorismo cient\u00edfico.
