We discuss the limitations of current services (identity lock-in, user fragmentation, data exposure) and present decentralized approaches (peer-to-peer, federated, blockchain-based) according to recent literature. We relate these models to the concept of public digital infrastructure, essential communication systems managed in a non-exclusive manner, and the notions of digital commons. As illustrative cases, we cite open protocols like Matrix and Web3 initiatives that adopt blockchain-based identity (e.g., XMTP), showing that such systems exhibit the characteristics of common resources: public specification, collective governance, and open-source software.
@id":"https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/mensageria-descentralizada-como-infraestrutura-publica/#breadcrumb
pt-BR
@type":"ReadAction
https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/mensageria-descentralizada-como-infraestrutura-publica/"]}]},{"@type":"ImageObject
pt-BR","@id":"https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/mensageria-descentralizada-como-infraestrutura-publica/#primaryimage
https://i0.wp.com/wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/files/2025/12/Gemini_Generated_Image_r5nwsyr5nwsyr5nw.png?fit=1408%2C768&ssl=1
https://i0.wp.com/wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/files/2025/12/Gemini_Generated_Image_r5nwsyr5nwsyr5nw.png?fit=1408%2C768&ssl=1
{"@type":"BreadcrumbList","@id":"https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/mensageria-descentralizada-como-infraestrutura-publica/#breadcrumb
@type":"ListItem
{"@type":"ListItem
Mensageria Descentralizada como Infraestrutura Pública: Uma Perspectiva sobre a Web3 como Bem Comum Digital"}]},{"@type":"WebSite","@id":"https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/#website
https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/
Grupo de Aplicações em Inteligência Artificial
Promovemos a investigação científica teórica e prática sobre técnicas de IA e no emprego destas técnicas em tecnologias inovadoras.
@id":"https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/#organization
@type":"SearchAction
@type":"EntryPoint
https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/?s={search_term_string}
@type":"PropertyValueSpecification
{"@type":"Organization","@id":"https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/#organization
{"@type":"ImageObject
pt-BR","@id":"https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/#/schema/logo/image/
https://i0.wp.com/wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/files/2025/11/cropped-gaiaufpel_logo-1.jpeg?fit=200%2C148&ssl=1
https://i0.wp.com/wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/files/2025/11/cropped-gaiaufpel_logo-1.jpeg?fit=200%2C148&ssl=1
{"@id":"https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/#/schema/logo/image/
https://www.instagram.com/gaia.ufpel/","https://www.linkedin.com/company/gaiaufpel"]},{"@type":"Person","@id":"https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/#/schema/person/700c500555f9133a6c44fd223e393507
gaia
@type":"ImageObject
pt-BR","@id":"https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/#/schema/person/image/
https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/525fd84c409b2d96667f51e5da3c8858fdfa0eb1d38a6c8eb957f99fc519ed82?s=96&d=mm&r=g
https://secure.gravatar.com/avatar/525fd84c409b2d96667f51e5da3c8858fdfa0eb1d38a6c8eb957f99fc519ed82?s=96&d=mm&r=g
gaia
https://wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/author/gaia/
https://i0.wp.com/wp.ufpel.edu.br/gaia/files/2025/12/Gemini_Generated_Image_r5nwsyr5nwsyr5nw.png?fit=1408%2C768&ssl=1
Today, artificial intelligence plays a role in billions of people’s lives.
