Nowadays, billions of people worldwide use a wide variety of online video services every day. Applications range from videoconferencing and video streaming to social networks and surveillance scenarios. Concurrently, recent studies have found that in 2018, roughly 1% of the global greenhouse gas emissions could be attributed to these online video services, highlighting the need for research targeting energy efficient online video systems. He&#8217;s a creative thinker who loves to explore different fields and share his ideas. Rodrigo worked in innovative startups, gaining valuable experience in multicultural and fast-paced environments. His main interests include low-power and mixed-signal circuits, FPGAs, ASIC, and hardware security. Tape-out experience using TSMC&#8217;s 180nm technology node, Rodrigo has designed silicon-proven low-power time-to-digital converters and SPI interfaces.
