Nowadays, billions of people worldwide use a wide variety of online video services every day. Applications range from videoconferencing and video streaming to social networks and surveillance scenarios. Concurrently, recent studies have found that in 2018, roughly 1% of the global greenhouse gas emissions could be attributed to these online video services, highlighting the need for research targeting energy efficient online video systems. Em 2018 atuou como pesquisador visitante na Technische Universit\u00e4t M\u00fcnchen (TUM), em Munique, Alemanha. Atualmente \u00e9 Professor Associado da Universidade Federal do Pampa &#8211; UNIPAMPA, no Campus Alegrete. Foi Diretor do campus Alegrete de 2012 a 2015 e Pr\u00f3-Reitor de Pesquisa, P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o e Inova\u00e7\u00e3o da UNIPAMPA de 2016 a 2017. Em 2019 auxiliou na funda\u00e7\u00e3o da startup Muv Tecnologia, spin-off do Grupo de Pesquisa em Arquitetura de Computadores e Microeletr\u00f4nica (GAMA), do qual \u00e9 l\u00edder. Atua como docente permanente do Programa de P\u00f3s-Gradua\u00e7\u00e3o em Engenharia El\u00e9trica da UNIPAMPA desde 2010. Tem experi\u00eancia na \u00e1rea de Engenharia El\u00e9trica, com \u00eanfase em Microeletr\u00f4nica, atuando principalmente nos seguintes temas: circuitos integrados anal\u00f3gicos, energy harvesting para IoT, ferramentas de CAD, otimiza\u00e7\u00e3o, s\u00edntese autom\u00e1tica e ASIPs. Membro da Sociedade Brasileira de Microeletr\u00f4nica, Sociedade Brasileira de Computa\u00e7\u00e3o e da IEEE Circuits and Systems Society. Atua tamb\u00e9m na promo\u00e7\u00e3o da inova\u00e7\u00e3o tecnol\u00f3gica na regi\u00e3o do Pampa ga\u00facho, participando da equipe de instala\u00e7\u00e3o do Parque Cient\u00edfico e Tecnol\u00f3gico do Pampa (PampaTec) junto ao campus Alegrete da UNIPAMPA e do Conselho Municipal de Inova\u00e7\u00e3o de Alegrete.
