I am an Associate Professor in philosophy at Federal University of Pelotas – UFPel, Brazil, and I have been a visiting scholar at University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill since 2019.
Previously, I worked as a professor at Unicentro in 2011. I did my postdoctoral research at UFPEL (2012) and I was a visiting scholar (short term) at the University of California at Davis. I received my PhD in philosophy from Pontifical Catholic University of Rio Grande do Sul (PUCRS) in 2011.
I work primarily on ethics and social justice. My recent work has centered on discussions about the pandemic, especially what I have called pandemic relationships. I am also interested in discussing theories of justice and the relevant social context.
In metaethics, the emphasis of my work is on moral realism, moral. constructivism.
I’m a football fan and a practitioner (I was better at that). I have a cat, Chubby.
