The IEEE CASS/SPS Seasonal School on Digital Processing of Visual Signals and Applications (DPVSA) is an event that provides an ambiance for a fruitful exchange of ideas and discussion of challenges in this area in the near future, bringing together experts from academia and industry. The primary target audience is the community of Visual Signals Processing and Applications, composed of graduate and undergraduate students, professors, and industry or research professionals.
The massive amount of images and videos generated at every moment and the availability of high-performance processing and communication resources bloom in plenty of excellent and valuable applications. The DPVSA school covers a range of fields that constitute an interdisciplinary domain, hopefully adding up synergistically to enforce everyone’s work.
In 2026, the IEEE CASS/SPS DPVSA will be held in Porto Alegre (entirely in-person) and will take place from October 19th to 21th. The school is organized by the Federal University of Rio Grande do Suls (UFRGS) , with the sponsorship and support of the IEEE Circuits and Systems Society (CASS) and the IEEE Signal Processing Society (SPS).
